Swag Success: Supercharging Growth Through Champions

Meet Jiminny
Jiminny uses automation and AI to help your sales team grow. Tom Lavery, CEO & Founder of Jiminny, says to think of it like “Spotify for your customer calls.”
Jiminny is a platform that improves coaching across the whole sales cycle, increases the productivity of your sales team, and gets you closer to the customer. Along with its vision, the company has been intentional about its growth.
“The main thing is that it’s not about the sales manager trying to ram something down someone's throat. [...] We engage as many of the users as possible. They’re the ones that love it so much, it's like an organic effect. And the [people around them are] going, Oh, what's that thing you've been using all week? Oh, this is awesome. I get to do this, this and this, and they're like, I want it now," says Tom.
Supporting Jiminny champions is important to the team, and they wanted to deliver quality swag without breaking the bank or spending hours of their time — hours that could be better spent talking to customers.
Finding a modern swag solution
But finding swag that aligned with Jiminny’s brand was tough.
Tom recalls, “It was really hard actually because all of it, everything I was looking at was like, they’re really old school websites.”
“It’s like you're shopping for, say you worked in a company and you’ve got like your 30 year anniversary gift and you're shopping for a carriage clock that they’ve given you.” Jiminny wanted something decent, yet simple. “Everything was like, Oh, I can order this water bottle from here, and this one from there, and it was just crap [...] I think the thing that attracted me was [that SwagUp] aggregates from different places for you. So it's just the ease of having it all together and packaged.” That’s a pro tip: one of the benefits you get with SwagUp is that we assemble and pack your swag for you. No need to set up your own assembly line at home.
“Before SwagUp, the man hours to just order everything, and then pull it all together, like this took a lot of time. You could say, Oh, we save a couple of grand to do it all ourselves, but then within that time you could be having a conversation with a customer.”

The verdict?
Saved the hours putting swag together to focus on customers and growing their company. “I think we used to send stickers and notes and like, a few things. Now every Jiminny champion gets a SwagUp Jiminny pack sent to their house. So when we're implementing them, that's basically what happens. We give some boxes to new starters and our team but really they go to the early adopters in the testing phase of our product.”
It’s the kind of implementation that seems obvious in hindsight. “Jiminny is used in like, so many countries around the world. For the first few reps, it's almost probably half their first month's fee, but it's worth the effort and energy to engage them, and it's kind of the right thing to do from an advocacy point of view. But like some of our investors have been, Mm, should we send a box to the really small customers?” says Jiminny Rep. “And I'm like, well, it doesn't matter if they're big or small. What if they go talk about it, you know, so it's the whole network effect thing. So for me, it's priceless.”
Was there anything that surprised Tom about working with SwagUp? “I just think the service is good. And that's really important to me. We try and do the same thing. Very responsive. And quick. I guess it's not a surprise but like it's nice when it happens, you know when companies are nice to work with and responsive.”
